Technology
for the akhira.
Every transaction is a chance to do good. Ruhi builds the infrastructure that lets charities, businesses, and individuals do more of it — donation tools, halal stores of value, fundraising marketplaces, and the consulting to put them to work.
The work you do in this world has weight in the next. Ruhi exists to grow that weight — to help charities raise more, hold value without riba, build sustainable income, and reach the people they serve. We are a technology company. Our products are practical. The reason we built them is not.
Four offerings.
One thesis.
Every transaction is a chance to do good, and Muslim institutions deserve infrastructure that takes that seriously by default.
Sadaqah on WhatsApp
A donation link that lives where your donors already are. Charities get listed on a trusted directory; donors give in two taps; money lands the same day.
Learn more — 02Gold-backed stablecoin
A halal store of value. Each token is backed by allocated physical gold — no interest, no leverage, no riba. Built for treasuries, savings, and cross-border giving.
Learn more — 03Fundraising marketplaces
We co-build marketplaces with your charity. Supporters buy goods they'd buy anyway; a margin returns to your organisation. Passive income, halal by construction.
Learn more — 04Consulting
Marketing and technology consulting for charities and mission-driven businesses. We bring the tools we built for ourselves and put them to work for you.
Learn moreGet discovered. Get paid. Stay in the conversation.
Donors don't want to learn a new platform. They want to send money the way they already send money to family — through WhatsApp.
How it works
- One number, one listing. Your charity gets a WhatsApp number and a public listing on the ruhi directory.
- Two-tap giving. Donors find you, choose an amount, choose an intention (zakat, sadaqah, sadaqah jariyah, lillah, general), and confirm.
- Same-day settlement. Money lands in your charity's account. Donors get a receipt in WhatsApp; your team gets a tagged transaction in the dashboard.
Why it matters
- Lower friction. No app download, no account creation, no card form on a slow website. Donors who would have abandoned a checkout page complete in WhatsApp.
- Discovery built in. Smaller organisations get the visibility large ones already have, through a directory donors actually browse.
- Auditable from arrival. Every donation is tagged by intention from the moment it lands. Zakat stays zakat.
A store of value, not a speculation.
A stablecoin pegged to physical gold. Each token represents allocated gold held in audited custody. No interest, no lending, no rehypothecation — the gold backing each token is yours.
What backs it
- Allocated physical gold. Audited on a published cadence by an independent auditor.
- One-to-one reserve. We do not lend the underlying gold. We do not earn yield on it.
- Public attestations. Reserve reports are published openly. Anyone can check the math.
What it's for
- Treasury. Charities holding zakat between collection and disbursement need somewhere to hold value without earning interest.
- Cross-border giving. Move value across borders without the friction or the FX cost of bank transfers.
- Personal savings. A halal alternative to interest-bearing accounts.
What it isn't
- Not an investment product. We do not promise returns.
- Not yield-bearing. No staking, no liquidity-mining, no rebasing.
- Not built for speculation. The design is boring on purpose.
Recurring income, between the spikes.
Charities raise money in spikes — Ramadan, emergency appeals, year-end. Between the spikes, costs continue. We co-build marketplaces with your charity that earn for you in the background.
How it works
- Co-created. We build the marketplace with your charity — branding, product range, supplier relationships.
- Aligned with how supporters spend. They buy goods they were going to buy anyway: prayer mats, dates, books, modest clothing, halal household goods.
- Margin returns to the charity. A defined margin on every sale settles to your account, fully reported.
Why it works
- Passive once it's running. The charity does not pick, pack, or ship. Suppliers and ruhi handle fulfilment.
- No additional ask. Supporters don't have to give more — they have to buy through you instead of elsewhere.
- Halal by construction. No interest, no payment-on-credit terms designed to trap. Pricing and margins are transparent.
Brought to you by the team that built the tools.
Most charities don't have a CTO. Many don't have a marketing lead either. Ruhi consulting fills that gap — not as an outside agency, but as a team that builds infrastructure for organisations like yours every day.
What we help with
- Marketing. Donor acquisition, Ramadan campaign planning, email and WhatsApp programmes, retention and lapsed-donor recovery.
- Technology. Choosing and integrating the right tools (CRM, payments, accounting), website builds, data hygiene and reporting, build-versus-buy decisions.
- Putting our products to work. Many engagements involve deploying our own infrastructure properly, with the strategy already thought through.
Who it's for
- Charities that want to grow but don't have the in-house technology or marketing capacity yet.
- Mission-driven businesses — halal-fintech operators, ethical e-commerce, social enterprises — who want a partner that understands both the technology and the values.
How we work
- Timeboxed. Engagements typically run three to six months, with a defined scope and a fixed price.
- No retainers we can't justify. If a piece of work needs four weeks, we quote four weeks.
Built for Muslim charities, specifically.
Most charity software is built for charities in general. We built ruhi for Muslim charities specifically — because zakat is not a donation, sadaqah jariyah is not a subscription, and a halal store of value is not a meme coin.
We are a technology company. Our worldview is rooted in Islamic ethics around money, trust, and intention. That shapes the product. It does not turn the product into a sermon.
- Trustworthy. We handle other people's sadaqah and zakat. There is no room for cute.
- Modern. Competent software, properly engineered. Not nostalgic.
- Restrained. Quiet confidence over loud assertion.
- Rooted. Clear about what we value, without over-explaining it.
We chose the name because the work we do — handling other people's zakat and sadaqah, holding value on their behalf, building income for their charities — is not work we wanted to take lightly.
Every transaction has weight. The money you give, the money you hold, the money your organisation earns and spends — none of it is neutral. In Islamic ethics, that weight extends past this life.
Ruhi exists to help charities, businesses, and individuals act on that idea practically. Better tools to take donations, so more sadaqah reaches the people it's meant for. A halal store of value, so zakat held between collection and disbursement doesn't lose ground to inflation. Marketplaces, so charities aren't trapped in the cycle of annual appeals. Consulting, so the organisations doing the most good have the technology and the marketing to do more.
We are not a religious organisation. We do not preach, and we are not a substitute for scholarship. We are a technology company whose products are built around Islamic ethics on money — because the people we serve need software and partners who take those ethics seriously.
